  • Virtual Learning Series: Impacts of COVID-19 on substance use and people who use substances

    Special note: Space is limited! Register by June 3 to receive a link to the event, which will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. You will receive a bilingual event program before the event.

    This virtual learning event is hosted by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (CIHR-INMHA), as part of the COVID-19 and Mental Health (CMH) Initiative. It will highlight the research results of Knowledge Synthesis Grant: COVID-19 Rapid Research Funding Opportunity in Mental Health and Substance Use. This event will focus on research findings related to COVID-19 and the impacts on substance use and people who use substances and how the research can be used to inform relevant policies, practices, guidelines and programs in Canada.

    This event is highly recommended for:

    • policy and decision-makers at all levels of government;
    • health care providers, including mental health care and substance use care providers, professional colleges and associations;

  • Listening to the audio portion of a session

    By default, when you join a CIHR online session with MS Teams, the audio will be delivered through your device. It is possible to use a telephone to listen to the session by either having the system call you or by dialing the teleconference number provided in the connection details.

    Note: Not all CIHR events have teleconferencing information attached to them. In these cases, you must listen to the audio portion using your computer.

    You can achieve this by clicking on the “Phone audio” button.
